Dean McDermott hung out with his ex-wife, Mary Jo Eustace, amid speculation that he and current wife Tori Spelling are headed for a divorce.
McDermott reposted an Instagram Story video originally shared Wednesday by the former couple’s 23-year-old son, Jack, in which the family of three chatted over drinks at Bottle Club Pub in San Francisco.
“LOOK WHOS HERE!!!!” Jack captioned one of the slides, clearly thrilled to see his parents hanging out.
McDermott, 55, and Eustace, 60, were married from 1993 until 2006 and didn’t always get along after their divorce, but they turned over a new leaf after reconnecting at Jack’s 21st birthday in October 2019.
One month later, McDermott and Eustace explained on his “Daddy Issues” podcast how they moved past their problems to forge a healthy co-parenting relationship.
“We hadn’t talked in over three years,” the actor said. “We would get into this routine. She’d text me something or I’d text her and we’d get into this back and forth off just being nasty to each other. And then finally I go, ‘OK I have had enough. I am blocking you.’”
Eustace noted, however, that Spelling, 49, never blocked her.
“She didn’t block me. She lets me text her,” the actress and chef said, adding that she bonded with the “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum at Jack’s 2019 birthday party on a “whole new level.”
“The first thing she said was, ‘I’ll sit beside you,’ and she did. It was on. It was full game-on,” Eustace, who detailed her messy split from McDermott in her 2009 book, “Divorce Sucks,” continued. “Three or four hours, we had the most amazing time. We had incredible conversations.”
McDermott and Spelling met in 2005 when they were married to Eustace and Charlie Shanian, respectively. They tied the knot in 2006 and now share five children: Liam, 15, Stella, 13, Hattie, 10, Finn, 9 and Beau, 5.
Nearly a decade surviving an infidelity scandal in 2013 — which was dissected on their short-lived Lifetime reality series, “True Tori” — the couple are facing renewed separation speculation.
Rumors began swirling last year that McDermott and Spelling’s relationship was on the rocks again.
In March 2021, the “Stori Telling” author was spotted without her ring on and soon after admitted that she and McDermott were sleeping in separate beds.
Then, last October, Spelling was photographed outside a lawyer’s office holding a notepad with the words “custody,” “support” and “assets” written on the page.
McDermott has also been seen several times without his wedding ring, which he claimed he lost.
