An Airbnb bargain turned into a house of horror for Married at First Sight stars Michael Brunelli and Martha Kalifatidis as the couple currently holiday in London.

Thinking they would save money on a thrifty deal, the loved-up couple arrived at the  apartment they had booked online for a four-night stay to find it was seven flights up – with no lift.

Once inside, the pair discovered the accommodation had an unusable fridge, no hot water for the shower, one bath towel and was riddled with ants.

‘Everything that could be wrong in an apartment…this has,’ Michael said in a video of the ordeal he later shared to his Instagram.

Michael, 31, shouldered the blame for the accommodation fail on his social media, admitting he was trying to save money on a deal he found on the booking.com website.

‘I randomly saw the same apartment on Airbnb and the reviews were savage,’ the Trufit founder posted.

‘The worst I’ve ever seen.’

Soon after, the handsome star tried to cancel the booking, which was non-refundable.

The recent snafu over accommodation is not the only disappointment the couple have faced while holidaying in London.

Martha, 33, was left stunned on Sunday when she witnessed six men urinating on the street.

Sharing a video to Instagram, the influencer revealed her shock after seeing the men relieving themselves while walking to her hotel after dinner.

‘We were walking home from dinner the other night from central London and I saw six different grown men’s penises,’ Martha said.

She explained: ‘They literally p**s anywhere on the side of the road. What the f**k is wrong with people.’

‘London was chaos. I feel very privileged to live in Australia,’ Martha said.

Martha’s post comes after she recently called out Michael for causing a media frenzy by announcing they were ‘moving’ to Europe.

The couple, who met on Married At First Sight in 2019, plan to spend a few months in Europe this year to pursue business opportunities – but Michael implied it was a semi-permanent move when he addressed fans on Instagram on April 26.
