The volunteer scooped the Good Morning Britain Volunteer of the Year Award. The Award celebrates volunteers who commit to giving young individuals support in education, training, and employment.

He stated; ‘It has been wonderful being able to give something back to the community through The Prince’s Trust. It is a responsibility and opportunity we all have to pass on both our time and talent to nurture the next generation.’

Lyle initiated his volunteering as a business mentor, offering his time and skills to help young adults take their first steps into self-employment as a Leadership Coach.

Until this day, in diverse fields, from florists, to textile artists to engine cleaners, more than 40 young people have set up businesses in Northern Ireland with his support.

Now that he looks back, Lyle feels grateful to those who have had the opportunity to mentor a range of people. All of them had diverse needs and challenges, yet each one was motivated.

He has inspired countless young adults with immense support in the capacity of both a business as well as a progression mentor, stated Kate Garraway, a broadcaster and journalist.
